[ndbug] OpenSMTPD alias table syntax

I am confused about the correct format to use for OpenSMTPD alias tables. 

The OpenSMTPD FAQ section on Options points to table(5) (http://man.openbsd.org/OpenBSD-6.0/man5/table.5) for documentation of the table format. This man page says that for aliasing tables the format is.

user1 otheruser
user2 otheruser1, otheruser2
user3 otheruser at example.com

The man page for aliases(5) (http://man.openbsd.org/OpenBSD-6.0/aliases.5) says the format of the aliases file used by smtpd is - key : value1. So the format is

user1: otheruser
user2: otheruser1,otheruser2

Are both formats valid syntax?
